Suggestion for your Family’s Dental Care

Lately, have you observed that as you get old, your teeth is becoming more prone to sensitivity, being soft and is pretty stained? As our bodies matured both our physical presence and our dental health prepare to develop. Being old puts us at a higher chance to suffer from many dental problems, this includes:

  • Dental Rooth Decays: The roots of our teeth are exposed because of receding gums.
  • Tooth Loss: This reduces the number of our teeth caused by smoking, gum diseases and other dental health issues.
  • Gum Diseases: Infection of the soft tissues surrounding our teeth.
  • Cosmetic issues: Teeth starts to become yellow and gets chipped easily.

Not all people who age have dental issues. To properly maintain our oral health care it is important to follow some guidelines like:

  • Brush and floss thoroughly at least twice or thrice a day along with a dentist certified tooth paste containing fluoride and a toothbrush prescription from them.
  • Use an antibacterial mouthwash to rinse our teeth that has not been reached during brushing.
  • Visit your dentist regularly.

Here are some additional tips to be followed:

  • Limit yourself from eating sugary foods and drinks: Instead of drinking sugary drinks and eating sugary foods, why not drink water and eat protein-rich foods to help strengthen your teeth.
  • Replace your toothbrush: It is very important to replace your toothbrush once it is worn out or every 3 months.
  • Avoid drinking alcoholic drinks and smoking: Both of these factors could erode the enamel of your teeth making it prone to darkening your tooth.
  • Eat apples after eating: This will help remove food debris that got stuck in between our teeth.

Be sure to talk to your dentist once you have an appointment with him/her and ask an advice on how to maintain a proper oral health care. Remember: Health is Wealth!
